چکیده

Abstract The use of recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) in nurseries cantik grouper ( Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × microdon ) has the potential to make culture environment more stable and maximize production perfomance, but work RAS decreases with accumulation waste water used. Remediation microorganisms (bioremediation) can improve performance RAS. This research aims determine best dose commercial probiotics bioremediation be used seeds. was conducted for 7 days using a completely randomized design four treatments three replications. Treatment doses tried: 3 ml/m , 6 9 12 . container concrete tank measuring 1 m 2 0.8 filled seawater 3.2±0.3 cm seeds density 500 fish/m addition up mL/m had no significant effect (P>0.05) on survival rate fish rearing, ranging from 99.1% 99.3%. results process were obtained lowest range ammonia nitrite about 0.0896–0.9303 mg/L 0.0977–8.4880 mg/L. probiotic inhibit growth pathogenic bacteria such as Vibrio spp. at beginning, middle, end maintenance reached 2, 48, 140 CFU/mL.

Serum cortisol concentrations change in tiger grouper, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus in response to water temperature and salinity stress

The present exposition was designed to evaluate blood serum changes in tiger grouper, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus in response to changes in water temperature and salinity. Uniformly sized fingerlings were randomly distributed into different groups at fifteen fish per tank, in two replicates. Each group represented experimental fishes subjected to water temperatures of 18, 24, 28 and 30°C (control...

Characterization of 10 novel microsatellite loci for the brown marbled grouper, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus (Serranidae).

Epinephelus fuscoguttatus is a commercially important marine fish species in southeast Asia. Due to overfishing and water pollution, this species has been declared as near-threatened. Thus, to provide information to help maintain and preserve the species, microsatellites were developed, using an enriched genomic library method. Thirty individuals were collected from the hatchery of the Fishery ...

Histological assessments of intestinal immuno-morphology of tiger grouper juvenile, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus

Histological assessments on the intestinal morphology and immunity of tiger grouper juveniles, Epinephelus fuscoguttatus help in determining the earliest age to start an oral vaccination. This study describes the morphological development of the intestinal immunity of tiger grouper of various ages. Clinically healthy tiger groupers were selected and divided into 4 groups of 20 fish per group. G...

Backcross breeding between TGGG hybrid grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus  E. lanceolatus) and giant grouper (E. lanceolatus)

This paper reports on the first successful backcross breeding between TGGG hybrid grouper and GG in captivity. To establish a seed production technique for this new backcross grouper, eggs and larval development were observed. Three successful spawning was observed in November 2018, September 2019 and November 2019. The eggs were collected using stripping methods and the sperms were collected u...
